Yesterday I chose to end the suffering of my beloved beautiful boy, Mandla. Truly his name was aMandla but he went by Mandla.

He lived up to his name. I adopted him to be a companion to his sister, MuShu. He truly was her protector and constant companion. She was with him when he passed.

He was diagnosed this past October with a very rare and very aggressive form of prostate cancer. Though I knew his time was short, I had no idea he would go so fast.

In fact, I made an appointment for his euthanasia for next week Friday, December 12. But by Wednesday, December 3rd, it became obvious that he would not make it that long without terrible suffering. So we said goodbye to him yesterday.

He was a very good boy. I feel heartbroken.

The regular newsletter will continue next week. For now, I need to snuggle my remaining darlings.
